“Sometimes four Ninja Turtles just aren’t enough”

Via Topless Robot, this poster is apparently going to be a special animated feature teaming up the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with their ’80s counterparts:

Oh. My. Sweet. Shell. The 1980s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were easily my gateway into this field, so you better believe I’m excited. The only downside is apparently the ’80s Turtles will have new voice actors. Still, I’m stoked for this animated film, which will come out later this month in honor of the Turtles’ 25th anniversary.

What a bizarre concept. I hope the 80s Turtles aren’t just comic relief to point out how “cool” the current turtles are. 80s Turtles took down the Technodrome, son!

    this sounds pretty awesome…

Notice on the building next to Leonardo that there’s the silhouettes of the Mirage Comics TMNT.

Is that Tokka and Razar I see in the shadows?

This was previewed during a private party for TMNT fans at San Diego Comic-Con. You can click my name to visit my website and get a preview.

Great idea, but I’m pretty bummed they didn’t get the original VAs. It’s hard to picture those turtle designs with different voices.

Hmm, redudnant much? I hardly think their personalities are any different than the 80s show. Its all kid-oriented, whoa cool dude shtick. Now if they did a feature with a harder, grim edge like the original B&W comic then it might be interesting!
