Power of — water! Shape of — Tom Welling getting hosed!
Sci Fi Scoop, who illustrated the point with the image above, has reported that Smallville might get a bit more… wonderful… with the introduction of the Wonder Twins.
According to them, David Gallagher (the 7th Heaven actor, not to be confused with the similar-yet-different spelling of the High Moon creator) and Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13) are going to be on the show, and are rumored to be playing the Wonder Twins.
Now, you could argue, as Topless Robot does, that this means the show is officially out of ideas. I, for one, am curious to see if Gleek will make his live action appearance.

Bah they should have booked Oliva Munn and Kevin Perrera for the job. Those two do great Wonder Twins!

Well, I’d rather see Wendy and Marvin and Wonder Dog, but I’d be interested in Zan and Jayna and Gleek.

I think Zan and Jayna is too sci fi for smallville. Chances are they’ll be called Zane and Jane or even better Wendy and Marvin but with the powers of the WT. Remember though JLU updated the Superfriends characters well although they were almost unrecognisable

i think the show was officially out of ideas by season 3…

Yet another example of why that show’s become a joke. The Wonder Twins were mildly funny when I was, what… 5? Obviously they’re going to revamp them a bit, but come on.

Wow! I was still in middle school when this show premeried and now in college and even though I loved the idea of Smallville I jumped off after season 3. Season 2 is the best! But whoever keeps watching this show really needs to find something else lol. Talk about jumping the shark!

That news actually originated on KryptonSite, as Sci Fi Scoop (which was linked) pointed out. Any chance you could send it to the original source?
I’d appreciate it… from a longtime Newsarama reader.

I look forward to the episode where they get mauled by an evil dog.
