The crying Spirit and Eagle are perfect, as is Snake Eyes’ face palm.
Serpentor looks like it was drawn by someone else. Did you conciously change your style a bit? Or is it just the extra detail in the snakes makes it look different? In any case, I really like the facial expression in the hood effect.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I’m guessing that you did and didn’t enjoy it?

Personally it wasn’t any worse then watching the Transformers movies. What do you expect from a movie like this besides some nostalgia.

I should note that the opinions expressed above are those of the various G.I. Joe cartoon characters (er, as I imagine them) and do not reflect my own.
I don’t think it was a very good movie, and it certainly wasn’t the movie I would have made, but it had some great performances and interesting bits, and I don’t think it should be counted as, say, an aesthetic crime, like Transformers 2.
It was a lot better than I thought it would be based on the trailer.

I drew these (and sketched G.I. Joe folks in general) while watching “The Pyramid of Darkness” five-parter and most of the original G.I. Joe: The movie the other night, and I must have drew Serpentor like eight times trying to get him “right” even by my own low standards. (I tried doing him in profile too because his costume is so damn complicated). He always ended up looking like a poorly-drawn snake Furry to me though.

I think they did a good job at bringing a ridiculous 80s cartoon to life. Of course, the end result is ridiculous at times, but fun! A great movie to share with my 15 year old son, who loved it.
