Actually, the suit is all black non-tights with a trenchcoat, very similar to what Jor-El wore during the trial of the Phantom Zone Criminals in the beginning of Superman: The Movie.

I was at that SDCC panel and reported a description below:

Why can't MARVEL produce an live-action, weekly hour-long show? It'd easily be better than SMALLVILLE.

No... I think a JL live action series would seriously suck, and "The Graysons" is just a bad idea all the way around. Then again, I never understood the appeal of Smallville in the first place. I didn't dig the teen/soap opera approach of the early seasons, so I never latched on. The teen Justice League idea seemed campy to me (though I admit I never saw any of the shows where they did that), and like someone else mentioned above I really don't understand how this show's Clark is supposed to pull off becoming Superman when all sorts of people have seen him sans glasses, etc. (including the person who becomes his greatest enemy).

But most of all, please don't ever let "The Graysons" happen. Why would anyone care about the adventures of a pre-Robin? The concept seemed forced.

I can't wait for this, this is one fo the best shows on the air and it's only gotten better over time. I also hope they make a superman movie after this show is over, if not one called metropolis because Warner is afraid of the Superman film curse. I also hope to see a Justice League series, and maybe even the briefly mentioned "The Graysons."

Maybe this'll move the Clark Kent character forward and get him out of the holding pattern that he's been in for the last few years.

You know - it just now dawns on me that this whole series can be seen as the origin story of Superboy Prime. That would make me feel less bad about the way they treat the characters.

I am not the biggest Superman fan by any stretch but to me it seems odd that the show would use the silver & black suit and not the one that's KNOWN across the world ,but without knowing where ther story is going I can't judge because who knows if he will show up in the red & blue suit by the end of the season.
