I’m pretty excited for the anime Marvel series. I think the animation quality looks pretty darn good, and I definitely will keep an open mind until I actually see the final product!

I wasn’t too keen on the Iron Man one at first, I would have loved them to push the design of the armor a lot more, but its grown on me after a few viewings.

The Wolverine one clicked for me immediately, I’m really psyched on it. With Daken currently running around as Wolverine, the design works really well. Its nice to hear where Ellis is aiming with the story too.

Cannot not wait to see both in full. More than welcome different take on the characters. Refreshing!

@Yawn That’s a good question, and one I’m happy to answer! First and foremost, the Claremont/Miller series predates Wolverine’s turbo-charged healing factor — second, Shingen was in charge of the Hand. Lastly, Shingen himself is a master ninja, and knows just where to hit to take even Wolverine down. But perhaps most importantly, Wolverine cares about what Mariko thinks of him, and thus was distracted throughout. You should definitely pick up the book, it’s great stuff.

They both look like things we’ve seen a million other times.But the Wolverine one in particular looks bad.It looks bland and I wouldn’t know it was wolverine without the description.

I haven’t kept up with wolverine in a while but last I checked he ungodly powerful?Hows a crime boss going to stand up to him?

Wow… from the haircut to the face to the physique and the general vibe you get off the character, they seem to have dropped the ball on the look of Wolverine.
