…And Sinestro-hater don’t know how to act.

Harry Knowles of Ain’t It Cool News has found some fresh pulp from the rumor mill: JT — why yes that would be Justin Timberlake — has performed a screen test for the role of Green Lantern.

While of course that casting isn’t set in stone, it’s certainly a new name, after people like Bradley Cooper, Chris Pine, Nathan Fillion, and Brian Austin Green have been tossed around the Marc Guggenheim-penned space opera.

What say you, readers? Does this Rock Your Body? Or is time to Cry Me a River?

No judgements….keeping an open-mind…but not really seeing it.

I agree. He’s actually a pretty good actor, but I don’t see him as Hal. Kyle maybe, but not Hal. If it happened, the movie might seem a little off to fan; but Timberlake should be fine for the general public, if the script turns out good enough.

    guy gardener maybe

  4. MattZ Says:

He just doesn’t have that level of command that I see Hal as having. I think DC/WB would be making a mistake.

  5. Mr Wesley Says:

I agree with everyone else. I think he’s become a better actor than we thought he’d be, but he’s not right for Hal Jordan. But, yeah, Guy Gardner I could see. He could make a really good Guy.

this whole article is worrying. If anyone says ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ I reserve the right to destroy you

  7. Owen Says:

I would rather not. My vote is still with Bradley Cooper (of the ones mentioned), but I would of course never turn down Nathan Fillion.

  8. Simon DelMonte Says:

Oh, for the days when they held talent searches and found unknowns, a la Chris Reeve.

  9. Josh Says:

Not the best, not the worst. Lots of potential.

  10. Jack of Spades Says:

It bothers me a lot that somebody even thought this might be a good idea. I’d almost rather see Jack Black.

  11. Ryan Catcher Says:

God. Imagine if JT does some godforsaken song for the OST? Like how Will Smith use to do.
