rules to not giving a show a shot in hell:

1) don't promote it

2) put it in a Friday night slot during the summer

3) air it the week the biggest summer movie opens

4) air it in the week two pop culture icons die

5) air it against tv specials regarding said pop culture icons

6) air it on FOX

why doesn't NBC/Universal jump on these shows that FOX throw away? no wonder why they're in last place. The USA shows are better than the NBC shows. These Sci Fi shows FOX dumps should be picked up and shown on sci fi, excuse me, SyFy (ugh)

it's the era of the reality show and it's really sad. no creativity, no imagination, no thought provoking shows anymore. All we are left with are game shows, contests, and people making asses of themselves

"When will genre creators learn that you don’t take your stuff to Fox!?"

Never, I hope. Most complaints people have about Fox canceling shows or not scheduling them optimally should be balanced by the understanding that the other networks probably wouldn't have aired them at all. Fox is all about the high-risk, high-reward strategy, even if they do cut their losses when the reward doesn't materialize.

Well, most pilots don't even get the Friday-night airing; they just disappear into the studio vaults forever.

This really didn't get any press, but it was a pretty interesting show. I figured halfway through the movie though that I would never see anything about it again. Seemed like a huge expense for FOX to create and then to throw to the wolves of Friday night without much publicity.
