Y’know, I think a lot of people have gotten so wrapped up in this myth of Megan Fox (which goes hand in hand with the myth about Michael Bay, by the by), that no one seems to realize that she’s a real human.
And a comics geek to boot.
On Jimmy Kimmel last night, the Transformers actress revealed that she once wanted to become a comic book artist, before she became, to quote some CGI artists, “impossibly hot.” Not only did she draw a picture of Jimmy Kimmel (which was not half bad), but she also gave some love to Witchblade, Fathom, and Gen13, not to mention a shout-out to onetime Amazing Spider-Man cover artist J. Scott Campbell.
I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting that from her. She’s got a sense of humor, and a little bit of awkwardness regarding her sex appeal, and, well, it certainly makes her seem a bit more approachable. (Unless Especially if you’re this guy.) What say you, Rama readers?

Seems like a PR thing to me. I read her views on the rumour she was up for the Wonder Woaman role and it didn’t really come off as though she was a comic fan. Seemed more like she had nothin’ but contempt for the character. We didn’t see her draw any thing and the view characters mentioned din’t show much diversity. Maybe she had a conversation about image comics from back in the day.
I’m a cynic but it seems to it’s good PR to appeal to fans of the movie she’s in.

Yeah she would give love to Fanthom. The gal is trying to sell herself, she is due to star in it. Most average people haven’t a clue who or what Fanthom is. She’s also got some clue that she’s been shooting her mouth off recently so maybe her PR give her some pointers to try to be nice. She did mouth off that she was just too beautiful to get some role the other day.Funny how she is so “awkward” now.
Enjoy it while you can,Megan, there will always be someone younger and prettier. People were salivating about Alba in a bikini a few years back. This is nothing stellar.

The barrage of stupid statements by Fox and her insipid co-star (Shia LaBeouf) in the media the last few weeks has basically burned into my brain that I will never see this movie, which I was already on the fence about to begin with. That said, this makes her a modicum more palatable to me. Still too little too late to turn me onto watching her try and act.

Oh yeah Gylan, because there’s no way that any comics fan could possibly think Wonder Woman was a boring character.
None at all.

I remember reading that she was a comics fan way back before she was the super star she is today. I don’t think this is a new thing just to help her public image among geeks, or anything along those lines.
And about her contempt for Wonder Woman, don’t ALL comic fans have contempt for certain characters? How many people hate Captain America, or Superman, or Spawn, and so on.

Never see the LITG photos of her hanging out with the guys at Aspen?

I don’t like Megan Fox as an actress, but this does make her likable to me as a person.

I saw this on Megan Fox’s website also with another video of her David Letterman visit.

At least she became an actress, comics don’t need any more horrible artists. Honestly though nothing she says now can really make me want to see any movie with her in it.

(There is also talk of her starring in a “Witchblade” movie!)..Was this article just an exuse to show another pic of Miss Fox?..and how in the name of the bright and fluffy Lord did Brian Austin Green pull this chick!”

Wow amazing! I never thought that she could do that. I though she was just a plain actress….
