I sure hope Runaways returns to form... I may have to wait for this run to get collected though (I have the entire BKV run in those little digests). Perhaps I'll seek out the Moore and Whedon runs. Perhaps.

Detective Comics 854.

Not because the protagonist is a female or a lesbian or anything like that but simply because: J. H. WIlliams III.

ALso, Kathryn Immonen's run on Runaways starts this week, which from all appearances and accounts looks to be the first solid start on the series since BKV left the title, that is if you liek reading about troubled teens trying to make their way amidst the backdrop of a superhero world.

Booster Gold is fun, smart, and while it plays in the DC continuity pool, you don't need to know much of anything to enjoy it. It's a character-driven book with a lot of heart and humor. IDW has a miniseries right now called "The Life and Times of Savior 28," which deals with the ramifications of superheroes in a slightly more real-world context, but does so in a way that's not as depressing and cynical as "Watchmen" or anything.

Dynamo 5 and X-Factor. Both are amazingly well written, although the current X-Factor storyline might lose you if you haven't been reading it. Some major stuff happened in the last few issues that is now being worked out.
