Teenage beefcake, melodrama, mortal danger, blood, and birthday cake. What more could a girl want?
And the wolf CGI isn’t as bad as it could be, I suppose. Though I can’t believe they gave it away in the trailer.

After perusing the dozens of CafeMom Twilight-related message boards last night, it looks like the trailer is a huge hit with the female book readers who made the first film such a success. So they’re getting the response they wanted from the geeks who love it.
I was really surprised to see the shapeshift into the wolf make it into the trailer, considering they haven’t even finished filming. But pleased overall. I like how they echoed the book’s emphasis on the clothes shredding, even having pieces of them fall around Bella.
And how much cooler does Laurent look in this film than the last one? Finally, they get the red eyes right.
What I want in the next trailer: the Volturi! Can’t wait to see Dakota Fanning as the blood-thirsty Jane.

Could Chris Weitz and Summit be testing fan reaction to the CGI? They’ve got a ton of time to tweak it. Totally agree: bring on JANE!
