dear god, why… this is ridiculous crap. i’m all for a diverse comic book landscape, but this is ridiculous. hey most people like the new pres. but seriously where were all these ridiculous comic book ideas during clinton or reagan’s administration. marvel use to do really quick bio comics back in the early 80′s but never have i seen such a continuous amount of bad comic book ideas stemming from a president.

Now I am tired of all these Obama books..I agree they have turned a historic moment into a big cash cow for themselves and it shows the typical human greed and inability to recognize a significant moment in the history of a racist country built on discrimination based on color.
But I do agree with Michael and others that you didn’t see people getting so tired of Bush era sponsored by FOX News or fan boys standing up for the rights of people who dared to speak out against Bush and Cheney and the Brain … it just seems like you still mad that Obama is the President of us all including the red necks!

If you took the time to research what the Great Hero Series is all about, you would have stumbled across the fact that the Obama title was book one because of its timeliness and that the series does not revolve around him.
These books teach children that regardless of the environment they were born and raised in, they can still achieve what they want to achieve. The series takes a look at the childhoods and careers of figures like Darwin, Bill Gates, MLK and Lincoln.
Publishing it in the manga format entices reluctant readers.
So before you judge a work based solely on what is found on the web, think twice and take the time to read more than one panel.
Oh, and The Obama Story is doing very well in the library market and the editor continues to edit the series. Thank you for your interest.
