The idea here is that this week’s issue is so good that if you DON’T read it and want to turn around and start reading the Booster Gold monthly–well, you shouldn’t be reading my column anyway. In fact, you probably shouldn’t be reading superhero comics. And there’s a good chance you have no soul.

DC’s Showcase Presents Booster Gold Volume 1, the recently-released in paperback Booster Gold: 52 Pick-Up or even 52 itself should be good starting points for your research! Remember that Wikipedia is not an acceptable source for academic research.

Considering how lucky a guy Booster is, how life just flows by perfectly for him, guessing his number should be easy…
I found the B&tB issue to be entertaining - the irony of Booster giving another hero tips is palpable. There’s surely some set-up going on here, and since it seems like nobody has any actual plans for Magog, it’s only fair someone should start the ball rolling.

Dan says in the interview (which will run today at Comic Related…and if they keep dragging their feet on getting it online I’ll just put it on Blog@ instead) that all of the history/personality in the issue was based on elements of Magog’s character from KC, JSA…and some stories that Geoff has written but hasn’t published yet. So the ball, although slowly, is apparently moving.
