Dollhouse getting renewed?

May 15th, 2009
Author Sarah Jaffe

It’s just a rumor, but it’s flying over Twitter. According to TVGuide:

#falltv Sources tell TVGuide.com’s Matt Mitovich that Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse is “looking really good” for a Season 2 renewal.

We’ll try to bring you news as soon as we have it, but if it’s true, this makes me happy.

UPDATE: The rumors appear to be true.

The show will return for 13 episodes, with an option for more episodes if required.  Return is seen likely for Fall.

I’m so glad the show gets another chance. The first few episodes weren’t the greatest moments on TV but the second half of season one was simply amazing, especially episodes 8 and 9.

It looks like the show will stay on Friday, so I guess huge ratings are not likely. But as long as Fox is happy with modest ratings and keeps the show on the air I won’t complain.
