Or not-gettin’-any-action-figures? (OK, OK, that was awful, I’m sorry). Lucas drew my attention to this on Twitter (via GeekGirlDiva), and I just had to share it. I stopped collecting action figures ages ago, though I still have my Death and a few McFarlane NHL figures. I’m certainly not going to break that streak for Twilight figures, but maybe someone else will.
There are also quite ridiculously priced dolls of Edward and Bella that are temporarily out of stock–which means there’s a significant number of people who spent $139 plus shipping and handling on them.

My doll-loving, Twilight-hating friend is very conflicted about the Twilight dolls. She loves Robert Tonner (as we all should — I am not a doll person, but when I’ve seen his stuff, I’ve thought, hey, I would totally pay that) but definitely made fun of Tonner for making those (although she understands that he’s going to make dolls that make money).
I don’t like Twilight, but I can picture all the dorm room desks those will be decorating.

If they don’t come with spring-loaded missile launchers, I’m just not interested. I’m old-fashioned that way.

I have the first Edward action figure, but I MUST get the sunglassed version! Now we need action figures of the rest of the Cullen coven.

All I can think of when I see this is: “Edward never wore his safety goggles. Now he doesn’t need them.”
And “not-getting-any-action figures” FTW!

Now with hand-holding action grip and lifelike “not having sex” action.
