Oh baby, yes! Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment just announced via a press release that The Joker will be a playable character in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum.
The catch, however, is that the villain will only be playable on the PlayStation 3 version of the game, and only in the challenge levels of the game. These are said to take place in Crime Alley and allow for players to fight against swarms of enemies, and now they’ll be able to dance around laughing while shooting them rather than stalking in the dark and taking them down without the kill.
It’s a nice bonus for PS3 owners desperate for exclusive content. There’s no reason given for the exclusive, but I’d offer conjecture that it has something to do with Sony/WBIE’s upcoming DCUOnline. Of course, the character will actually be DLC released the same day as the game, so there’s always the possibility of it being a timed exclusive, giving 360 owners the chance to laugh further down the line. Either way, this game just keeps looking better, and June isn’t too far away.

PS3 is very good.

I do not own either machine but would hope that the content becomes available for both consoles. It should be the same game, in my opinion.

Say that to the owners of the PS3 version of Tomb Raider Underworld, Groovemaster

The 360 will probably get it as something for sale on the marketplace. But they’re not screwing you because it’s an “extra,” and the game is complete without it. That seems to be the trend, at least.

That is so awesome!Sure I’ve played as the dark knight himself, but Joker? Now we can play as that psychotic homocidle maniac on his own turf!By the way Ortiz I don’t know if you heard but it’s for the 360 too.Oh and go to youre local bestbuy, gamestop,or target to play a totaly awsome demo. One last thing:look up the invisible predator trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I own a 360 and a Wii, and have played the PS3 alot at a friends house, so I have a large amount of experience with all of the systems. I also work at Gamestop so I get to sample most of the games that come out. And the 360 beats the PS3 regularly when it comes to download content, availability, and quality of online play…. ok, SEVERLY beats the PS3 on quality of online play. While i do feel that it will come out eventually on the 360 (More people have the system and the companies want every dollar they can get from the consumers!), its nice to see the PS3 get a boost. Every dog deserves a bone every once in a while, right?

I think system exclusives are bunk to be honest with you. I hope that they do release the Joker sooner or later for this game because I have a buddy who is foaming at the mouth to get his hands on this game… don’t know why though because usually Batman games are pretty bad.

Let ‘em have it.
PS3 needs it.
Bad.

It’s interesting cuz when I had a PS3 my favorite game was Ultimate Alliance, and all the cool unlockable characters were introduced on Xbox…..I sell my PS3, and I now I hear that the cool characters are unlockable on PS3. I think that sucks, make all the characters playable on all the platforms, cuz now I’ve got a Wii

ps3 is better than xbox 360… thats all there is to it… thats why joker will be playable on the ps3 not xbox… the only perk on xbox is how easy it is to be connected with your friends online… nothing else… graphics, gameplay, and sound are all better for the ps3… not to mention being able to play blueray dvds…

Playing as the Joker on PS3 is overrated. My friend told me it’s just a “kill all the enemies before time runs out” mode. Anyway, if you looking for an exclusive that’s worth the hype, it’s Shadow Complex, you PS3 nerds.

I have the game on xbox 360, I guess I’ll have to borrow or rent a ps3 copy now
