Everybody knew Gary; not as many knew Dave. But the world is much poorer right now without the two of them around. The best part of the AP article about Dave's passing, though, was that it was finally being mentioned what their contribution means to the modern world in the form of computer gaming and MMO's-- a little recognition finally is going a long way. It's just as sad that it took several days for Newsarama to notice, as well as all the news sites (CNN, MSNBC, even Yahoo) who simply waited for a slow news day to report on it themselves.
