I'm looking forward to this--I hope they let him tell the great abortion story he had planned, which never saw the light of day because the book got axed. I agree that the Mexico story drifted way out there and the book was a real disappointment, but that's just because it had set for itself an unrealistic expectation to live up to.

Fantastic news. I'll definitely be picking up this series to get a monthly dose of Andreyko's Kate.

Manhunter, along with Simon Dark, were my two favorite DC series until they bought the farm. The fact that Manhunter is returning and with Georges Jeanty on the art puts a smile on my face!

FINALLY! I heard rumblings about this about a week or so ago, when I first suggested that Kate was a logical backup character. Nothing to confirm, though, and I've been alternately bugging Anreyko on Facebook and wondering when someone else would get the confirmation for days.

I really liked Manhunter until it came back from its final, extended hiatus, after which it really seemed to drift. Maybe it was just the poor choice of artist, which didn't fit the type of story well at all (for my tastes). It's rare for me to lose interest so quickly in a title when the writer hasn't changed, but I would've dropped Manhunter in another month or two if it hadn't been put out of its misery.
