What could possibly make my inner fourteen-year-old squeal more than the Twilight DVD?
SciFiWire reports that the DVD bonus features (which they are ruining for me, per my planned Twilight DVD party on Saturday) include the mention of a possible anime flick in Japan:
During the final sequence of the film, in which Stewart’s Bella and Pattinson’s Edward Cullen discuss transforming her into a vampire so the two of them can be together forever, Pattinson notices that he looks different from previous scenes. “I look Asian in this scene,” Pattinson says. “I do, I look like an anime character.”
Hardwicke responds, “Hey, I think there’s going to be an anime version of this in Japan. So you will be an anime character.”
I’ve fallen out of my anime-watching habits over the years, but I have to say that I’d watch an anime Twilight.
And now that your opinion of me is thoroughly ruined, I’m off to finish reading Blankets. Also, in srs bizness, my interview with Brian Wood is up on the main page here today. /shameless self-promotion.

gee also we have Blood+, Trinity Blood, and Vampire Hunter D filled with MORE than enough angst and oft-kilter ‘romance’
It hard enough being an American Anime fan…PLEASE don’t distill my artform love anymore!

I don’t think it would be a good idea to adapt Twilight into an anime movie. The movie did so well that they would be better off financially to adapt a live action sequel of the movie, instead of creating an anime version of it. They might lose more fans than they gain if they make an anime version of Twilight.

Must Twilight rape everything?
I loved you, anime. I really did.

Any of the above mentioned anime series are much better than Twilight.
Why?
Because plots are awesome and Twilight lacks one.
I feel like my beloved genre is being gang raped repeatedly by that abomination. That and all those romance novels being adapted into ‘manga’ by American artists.
Shove me off a cliff too, plz.

would eventually end up as the Black Beetle. He did pick up a scarab after all. And in a previous Booster Gold issue where Jamie Reyes is roped in to help solve a crisis, only to discover the Black Beetle is an enemy rather than an ally, the Black Beetle leaves off by saying something along the lines of “If it weren’t for you, she wouldn’t have died.” She referring to Jaime’s other tech support who was killed in the KDRA incident
