I noticed that the cover stock (paper) changed. I’m a long time supporter of TPBs, but you have what appeared to be so much behind-the-scenes material on this series that any wait-for-the-trade readers might miss out on this content. So pick it up folks, it’s Jimmy! and Garth! and creator-owned!–nuff said.

Fletcher, I'm pretty sure that Hex has the potential to be the best western since The Wild Bunch!

You are right though, Hollywood needs good old fashioned westerns with great stories. I think that's what makes JH so great, and we owe it to Justin and Jimmy.

Jimmy, I hadn't read #4 yet, so I didn't even think to ask about #5. What I do want to ask though is how I can get a couple of those B2b T-shirts in 2x? Where can I order them?

Man oh man I hope this is true. I love westerns (from the Magnificent Seven to Unforgiven) and I love some weird voodoo movies (Serpent and the Rainbow, The Skeleton Key), but I don't want to see them together. With that being said I really, really enjoyed the Landsdale/Truman Hex. I just don't want to see it in a movie. Cinema needs more westerns and good westerns at that.
I'm jazzed up that both Brolin and Malkovich are in. I think Brolin will shine as Hex. I am not that hyped over Fox. Fine, fine she's smokin hot. She knows she's smokin hot. We all know she can't act. But that is not enough to stop me from going to see the movie when and if it reaches my local cineplex. I wish I could at least see a trailer. Maybe sometime soon I hope.

ROBERTO: that was hysterical...dan was a blast that day. fun panel.

JASON: i have more faith in her than most. Jimmy the director will get a great performance out of her. just you watch

JURNEY: an army of the undead makes hex a completely different movie. the vertigo series was fun, but personally, not the hex i knew.

OHIOSTATEGUY: glad you enjoyed back to brooklyn 4, i think its the best issue, after 5...did i tell you what happens in that?

BRIAN: the guys at warner nixed the zombie stuff and we support that. was great seeing you at megacon dude...and yeah, my bday parties are all Amanda's fault.

Jimmy--

Thanks for nixing the voodoo-hoodoo stuff associated with the Hex movie, I can breathe a sigh of relief! It's shaping up to be an incredible flick!

Megacon was a blast, and meeting you again was a pleasure. I even brought in my little 2-year old (almost 3 now!) in on Sunday morning to meet Amanda, who drew a pic of him dressed as Lil' Batman 2 years ago. The panels with Didio were a blast, I'm glad he came down, and I've learned that your birthday parties are of an epic nature...jeez louise! Anyway, since moving down from Long Island to Orlando 7 years ago, I've been attending MegaCon and I have to say that this year was my favorite--hands down!

My best to you, Jimmy! Back to Brooklyn rocks!

It was great seeing you at MegaCon, and thanks for signing my books.

Read B2B #4 last night and I have to say it was a payoff issue. "Because he's my friend." was quite possibly the best line I've ever read. Thanks to you and Garth for that.

To be clear, I wouldn't have worried if there were zombies in it. Hex would beat their a$$e$ silly. I can't wait to see it.

I wouldnt have seen anything wrong with the army of undead thing. It's no more ridiculous than the stuff you saw in the Jonah Hex Vertigo series.

"What was really nice was that Dan DiDio came to the show and I got to host a few panels with him. Anyone that has never been at these panels is truly missing a really insane time. Dan not only is a hyperactive host, but also regularly jumps off the stage and gets involved with the fans."

You're not kidding. It was great to have him sit next to me during the Friday Panel when I didn't want to give him my Flash notebook with my questions.

:)

Best,

Thanks for the straight news on HEX. I love the casting decisions that have been made so far and I'm especially pleased that the movie is going well according to your ideas. I'm also looking forward to a live-blog from a set visit, whenever that happens in the future.

>What isn’t true and will probably make the fans of the character lose their lunch is the “voodoo practitioner raising an army of the undead” part. Not true on any level, so stop worrying. Really… you can all relax now.<

THANK YOU! I was worried that they were going to go with that plot. GOOD news!

god i wish i coulda been there for the BSG panel. love that show.

hex movie sounds like it's gonna be awesome. it also sounds like it's actually going to be made, which is always in question with a warners/DC property.

When I lived on LonGuyland, we'd have to take the Belt to Ft. Hamilton to get some VA stuff sorted out. It'd take HOURS. My mom could have taken the LIE to the BQE and actually saved time. But this was "The straightest route" so that's the way we went.

I can still smell the dumps by Starrett City.

I'm with rwe. While Fox may turn out to be something more than window dressing in Jonah Hex, I'm not holding my breath.

On the other hand, I'm not going to be the first in line for Watchmen, either.

I picked up BTB #4 last night, Jimmy. I haven't read any of BTB yet as I will wait for issue 5 to hit the stands and then devour the series in one sitting.

Incidentally, (You mailed me the first 3 issues so) I noticed that the cover stock (paper) changed. I'm a long time supporter of TPBs, but you have what appeared to be so much behind-the-scenes material on this series that any wait-for-the-trade readers might miss out on this content. So pick it up folks, it's Jimmy! and Garth! and creator-owned!--nuff said.

"a strip of highway in Brooklyn we call the Belt Parkway"

Considering the average speed of traffic on the Belt (aptly named since a belt is a device that holds things up), she probably wasn't in nearly as much danger as your mom was.
