Stewie hits the USS Enterprise

Yeah, you read that correctly — Family Guy will be reuniting the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

According to Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed, Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, and the rest of the USS Enterprise will be doing voice chores.

“Stewie blows a fuse when he doesn’t get a chance to ask his favorite ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ cast members any questions,” says the episode synopsis. “He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog.”

This is going to be the best peanut butter-and-hot dog kind of mish-mash pop culture event ever!!

Futurama already did it! (Only better, because it was TOS– minus Doohan, though)

I can’t wait not to watch it.

Wil Wheaton had posted like 6-8 months ago about doing voicework for a Trek centric Family Guy.
I just want to know when it is airing.

Futurama’s Trek episode was minus Kelley as well, seeing as he was already dead. Dr. McCoy was shown, but he never spoke. I’m forgetting when Doohan died, but I think he was alive at the time.

Anyhow, I can usually never stand to see more than a few minutes of Family Guy. I chuckle once or twice, then move on. Personally, considering what a low note the TNG cast went out on, they should be reunited to make a new, but much better movie to make up for Nemesis. Better still, reunite them along with the DS9 cast for a major blow-out of a film. Bring Ron Moore back to Trek to write and produce it. I’d much rather see than than the upcoming Abrams project.
