speaking as a Latino and overall nerd, I can’t disagree with this.

The best one was Luis Guzman’s Lifetime Underachievement Award!

  2. Russ Burlingame Says:

I know! Ten years ago, I thought he was going to be a superstar, and then…nothing.

  3. Fred Says:

I’m baffled why Eduardo Verastegui got the Shady Behavior Award for supporting Prop. 8. What does one’s sociopolitical beliefs have to do with acting ability or lack thereof?

Besides, most Latinos supported Prop. 8 so Mr. Verastegui represents the mainstream of his community.

  4. Daryll B Says:

I’ll say this about Luis Guzman, he’s a funny dude and unfortunately I think Hollywood stereotypes him much in the same way they have done Cheech Marin.

BTW If you haven’t seen it I saw A/K/A Tommy Chong last night on the Showtime Networks…Very thoughtful and well done.

  5. Daryll B Says:

And I will say this about Heroes too…The Ramirez inclusion seemed doomed to fail from the start since ANY minority with powers got railed on all over the fan sphere. Think about it….

  6. Russ Burlingame Says:

Daryll, I think that the key with a show like HEROES is to include minorities in the initial cast and get people engaged in them rather than trying to shoehorn it in later. Adding a minority to an established cast reeks of tokenism; INCLUDING minorities does not. Think of LOST.
