NYCC ’09: MORE IMAGES

February 12th, 2009
Author David Pepose

You thought you’d seen the last of New York Comic-Con? Think again! More below the cut from our very own Vaneta Rogers!

Deadpools. Deadpoolus? Deadpooli? Or would you refer to the two of them as “Deadpool”?

Dark Avengers artist Mike Deodato, Jr.

Gwen and MJ.

From eating wheatcakes to eating people. Peter Parker is a growing boy!

Ant-Man and the Wasp. They look happy.

People dig their Twilight dolls.

Is this a video game thing? We see this costume EVERYWHERE.

The Sorcerer Supreme even made an appearance.

SHE’S A SKRULL!

This is why we can’t have nice things, Deadpool.

Ghost. Busted.

Joe Quesada meets Captain America creator Joe Simon. Once in a lifetime event.

Superman and Wonder Woman off to meet… Superman?

There is no way I can come up with a clean caption for this.

What do NY ComicCon-ers want? Apparently ears and a tail.

Watchmen obviously was en vogue for this con.

Dark Horse editors looking through art submissions.

The recession has even reached a galaxy far, far away.

Robot Chicken!

Brian Michael Bendis and David Mack hanging out.

    Photo #1 – That’s the KGBeast with Deadpool. He’s a Batman villain.

Ghostbuster photo – I think that’s one of the clown robbers from The Dark Knight with the Ghostbuster, and not a ghost.

  2. KentL Says:

No, I’m pretty sure that’s an alternate Deadpool. His symbol is on the belt buckle.

The formatting on these is awful.

  3. Scraps Says:

Pretty sure the fluffy white princess get-up is in reference to the movie “Enchanted.”

  4. Jeff Says:

I always look at those Comedian costumes and imagine that “Yahh! I’m dressed up as a rapist!” never crosses their minds.

  5. Vaneta Rogers Says:

Proof that the “red-headed bride in white” costume has been seen elsewhere (and maybe a clue to its meaning?):

I really would like to know who she is, since I keep seeing her portrayed everywhere. Is this a manga with which I’m not familiar?
