The Young Adult Library Services of America has released its Great Graphic Novels of 2009 list! Among the capes-and-tights taking the awards are:

- The Death of Captain America

- Sinestro Corps War

- Planet Hulk

- Umbrella Academy

- Runaways: Dead End Kids

Meanwhile, DC’s art-house division Vertigo also garnered some acclaim, for original graphic novels Incognegro and Cairo. Check out the list and recommend ‘em to your friends!
