As you may know, Daryl Cagle maintains the aptly named “Daryl Cagle’s Political Cartoon Index” at MSNBC.   We note that today for obvious reasons as, among many other subjects, the Inauguration has been cartooned from a number of angles.  For example, Steve Greenberg from L.A.:

    If you have to write the name of the person being depicted in your political cartoon on the character himself, it’s not a good cartoon…

    Or you think your audience are idiots.

    Nah, that’s a pretty standard practice going back to the earliest days of political cartoons, most likely touching on the cartoonists being unafraid to call the targets out.
