It’s a tough week to be a legend, apparently. Ricardo Montalban, Star Trek’s Khan and Fantasy Island’s Mr. Roarke, has died at 88. We’ll update this story, and discuss the actor’s work, later this evening.

Not a surprise, given his age and poor health over the years, but incredibly sad nonetheless. Khan is one of the great villains in movie history. My daughter was sad to hear the news too, given his roles in the Spy Kids movies and Disney’s Kim Possible.
Both this, and the news of the death of Patrick McGoohan on the same day. How appropriate that it’s frigidly cold where I am today… It’s a sad, cold start to 2009.
