Scott Charles Stewart, the director of the January 2010 release Legion, will direct the film for Screen Gems. Initially, the film was to be helmed by Amityville Horror’s Andrew Douglas, starring Gerard Butler and Steven Strait.

The property is a postapocalyptic western manga, starring a former man of the cloth who turns to the gun while trying to rescue a girl from a band of vampires. The script has been written by Cory Goodman, who penned the 2009 remake of David Cronenberg’s The Brood.
