Top Shelf Productions has just revealed the first look at Bruce Willis in the film Surrogates.
Willis plays Agent Greer, who is drawn into a conspiracy regarding surrogates, cybernetic proxies used in the future to replace human interaction. Someone, however, is looking to bring human contact back.
The film is due to be released September 2009. A prequel to the Top Shelf comic, The Surrogates: Flesh and Blood, is scheduled to be released in July.

I am very much looking forward to this film. The mini-series was excellent, and of course, since the movie was filming in boston (my home) I am even more looking forward to it.
This is the first I heard of the prequel comic. Will it be by the same creative team?

Woof. Willis looks great. Didn’t know this was a movie either – really glad to see it made. And prequel comic also? Good news indeed.

Hmm, I did not know Willis was Greer, but one picture is not that interesting — I mean it’s just one screenshot. I think the comic lends itself perfectly for the big screen: cool scenes with a cool story that is actually not that complex, making it all the more intriguing.
