Glau reflects on new Terminator time

Summer Glau, the star of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, spoke with TVGuide today to discuss the show’s midseason finale (tonight at 8pm) as well as developments with the show’s new time.

Describing the current Monday timeslot, which pits the show against heavyweights like Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, as well as Monday Night Football, as “impossible,” Glau added:

I think the fans will band together and support us on Friday nights. We had a lot of competition on Monday, so I think this might be a good thing.

She also expressed her hope that her character, the reformed Terminator Cameron, would do battle with the enigmatic T-1001 Shirley, and even discussed the topic of a robot’s discomfort at being the “third wheel” in John Connor’s budding romantic life.

I can’t get past these Terminator ads that show this young robot lady in various states of dismemberment. It’s freakin sinister.
