Must be Tina Fey, then: the quote that the VIP candidate could “see Russia from [her] house” was not said by Palin and is often mis-attributed.
It was said by Tina Fey as a joke regarding Palin’s comment on the proximity of Alaska to Russia. Palin never said it herself.

It’s not a quote, and everyone knows that it’s from a comedic impression; the poster clearly was just using something identified with her in the popular imagination due to the repeated use of that SNL clip. In the context of “we’ll give you a hint”, it’s completely fine to use in this way, and, again, obviously not meant as an actual direct quote.

Not really. Most everyone knows what it’s really from. Maybe you just hang out with a lot of people who think everything on TV is real.
The grim, humourless aspect of your namesake clearly makes your pseudonym an appropriate one.
