Though I do disagree with Martin Gray on Black Adam, I'd love to see him in everything, fitting or not.

@Martin Gray

Agreed.

Interesting point on 52, never thought of it that way, his learning...I didn't read a single thing of his before 52 except Crisis and the occasional one-offs and wasn't a fan of either, but now I find myself digging his Action Comics, and am picking up some of his other work more often than not. While it doesn't feel like he's completely mastered his approach (some of his work is a bit thematically melodramatic and or ultra-violent), with every year his writing becomes that much more interesting-compelling.

You wrote this column within hours of the GJ news? Great work David, it reads really well.

I've enjoyed lots of GJ's run and you rightly point out some of his strengths. There are weaknesses in his work too, though - too much violence and and too many characters introduced and given nothing to do.

Plus, I never liked the additon of Black Adam - tumour or not, he's a bad guy and doesn't fit the ethos of the team; I could never see the old guard accepting him.

I hope that somewhere, in his new schedule, Geoff finds time for a Stars and STRIPE special. I loved that comic.

Agree 100%. I hope that whoever comes on the book next doesn't mess everything up just to get attention (or because they suck).
