Yep... The $3.99 price tag is going to kill sales on a lot of books methinks. I have Marvels in trade anyhow -- having just come back to comics in the last 3 years or so -- so this is definitely a "wait for the trade" for me. Luckily, Amazon marks them down and you can avoid shipping and sales tax with them. It really sucks for the LCS retailers, because they're the ones who are gonna feel the pinch. I bet a lot of them aren't going to make it.

I feel for them, but I've already been dropping so many floppies due to the rising prices, or lackluster stories, or both. I'd rather wait for a trade that I can get a discount, not have to look at lame ads, and be able to read reviews to help decide if I really want the book or not. It'll save me from wasting money buying things that I don't enjoy and then end up dropping (such as KB's own Trinity).

Anyhow, Eye of the Camera looks promising enough so I hope it'll be worth picking. I think Anacieto will do a fine job, but does anyone know why Alex Ross isn't on board for the sequel?

Oh, and Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas is a great read!

I was going to get this, but at $3.99, I couldn't pull that trigger.

Sorry, Kurt. I'll see how much the trade is, but if it comes to be $24 -- that's way to high as well without some significant discount at Amazon or something...

The first issue got some negative reviews, but I personally enjoyed it...I'm assuming we'll see some change over story wise as we transition into the "bronze age;" makes sense with him getting cancer, as the stories in that era took a turn for the "grounded"...Cap Marvel died from cancer, GA and GL's socially relevant run leading into stories like Watchmen or characters with the Punisher's moral ambiguity...this could stand as a nice footnote to the important changes that took place in comics in the 70s and 80s, a lot of potential to be taken advantage of in this mini.
