Will Wonder Woman sprechen sie Deutsche?

Perhaps so, with Joel Silver’s new deal. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the producer of the long-delayed Wonder Woman film as well as the 2010 remake of the sci-fi thriller Logan’s Run has signed a five-year coproduction deal with Studio Babelsberg.

This arrangement continues a long-standing relationship between the studio and Silver’s production company, Dark Castle: Silver filmed V for Vendetta, Speed Racer, and the upcoming Ninja Assassin at the German-based studio.

“This new arrangement with Joel Silver is part of our strategy to establish long-term slate deals with established, successful Hollywood producers,” said Studio Babelsberg CEO Carl Woebcken. “On the one hand, it helps us guarantee a certain number of big films shoot here and on the other it allows us to participate in the success of these productions.”

The real question now is: will this influx of resources help pull the Wonder Woman film out of development? And if so, will they use our picks?

“Do you speak German?” is spelled “Sprechen Sie Deutsch?” (no e in Deutsch, Sie with a capital S). Although if you meant “…speak German?”, then it should have been “Deutsch sprechen?”.

I wonder if this film is every going to happen? If Silver wanted to earn some respect he should put Joss Whedon back on this film! Minus the invisable jet…that’s just dumb, she can fly for crying out loud!
