It has been reported that Devil’s Due Publishing has laid off three staff members, and will undergo corporate “restructuring.” Among those laid off include editors Mike O’Sullivan and Cody DeMatteis, as well as Marketing Director Brian Warmoth.
The publisher has been struggling with revenue since the loss of the rights to the G.I. Joe franchise, which had previously been the organization’s most lucrative property. Devil’s Due continues to publish “Hack/Slash,” which has since been optioned by Universal’s Rogue Pictures. Ironically, Rogue Pictures itself may soon be sold as a consequence of sluggish economy.
