Michael Gingold, Managing Editor of Fangoria Magazine, posted on news of a Dark Tower film lensing soon. However, it’s not based on the Stephen King novels or companion Marvel comics. Director John Johnson, an admitted fan of King’s work, says that he’s using the same source of inspiration (Robert Browning’s epic poem, “Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came”), but charting a different course in his story.
Johnson has already directed a number of films, including Shadowhunters, and would also like to do a (yes, he said this) “serious” remake of, ahem, Plan 9 from Outer Space. Good luck, John! Find out more about the director and his work here.
