Loeb’s Heroes severance package includes comic plugs

Seth Green and Loeb comics on Heroes

Rick over at Cable & Tweed turned me on to the fact that this week’s episode of Heroes featured quite the cornucopia of Jeph Loeb books in a scene that took place in a comic shop where guest star Seth Green worked. Loeb, of course, worked on the show until he was fired a few weeks ago.

You can watch the episode for yourself over on NBC.com, unless of course you don’t live in the United States.

No, no thanks. I’d rather not watch Heroes. Stopped cold turkey a couple weeks ago with no desire to go back. Ever.

Writers should put a moratorium on time travel as a crutch in sci-fi shows, unless the show explicitly revolves around time travel.

FYI, the “watch the episode” link is wrong.

  3. Shaun Says:

JK, since you’re leaving ‘Rama anyhow you should have the link go to abc.com for streaming episodes of Lost. At least then people would be watching a good show. :-)

“We’ve got plenty of Red Hulks in stock”

Funny, so does my LCS. Guess Seth Green can’t sell them either…

  5. Mark Engblom Says:

Loeb comics are loaded with pointless cameos and “inside baseball” references…so why shouldn’t his TV episodes?

  6. Heather Says:

I’ve been wondering how DC feels about Heroes being littered with Marvel references and plugs this season when they’re the ones putting out the books of the collected webcomics via Wildstorm.

  7. Vaughan Johnson Says:

I caught that too but assumed that the episode was filmed before he was let go.
