You missed the point of the series. The whole thing was about the secret to returning to life (in the MU) was based off of a hero’s popularity, it was pretty funny to hear Dr. Strange explain it all.

I think Zimmerman means “Magnificent Seven as a wacky comedy,” which would be rather different from Blaze of Glory.

There already IS a “Marvel does the Magnificent Seven” book with Rawhide Kid, Two-Gun Kid and other Marvel Old West characters. “Blaze of Glory”. Pretty good book actually…

I agree with Mark about Zimmerman; I’d give him another chance at writing comics. The stuff he did on “Tangled Web” was really good, even if the resulting Kraven Jr, series was disappointing.

Ron Zimmerman: coming from the UK, I’ve no idea of just how irksome this guy’s personality is. But I do know that the comics internet loves a witch-hunt, and at least one of his comics (ULTIMATE ADVENTURES) is actually massively under-estimated.

I would love some more x-force/x-statix. I am late to the party but have caught up with all the issues via the Marvel digital comic services. They were great. It reminds me alot of the original idea behind Youngblood, but done right; writing with an eye towards celebrity culture and the pop art. Just a great little find.
