This is pretty cool … Rob at the Aquaman Shrine shares a page from DC’s official style guide that shows the Pantone color swatches used for several of their characters:
“I love how distinctive those poses by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez are–Green Arrow with his bow, Plastic Man being goofy, Batman a bit stand-offish,” Rob writes. He also notes the colors used to create Aquaman’s uniform, in case you were wondering what my title was referring to.

That’s really cool. I dig DC stuff from the 70’s.
What would be even cooler though, would be, when you click on a pic in the blog, if it actually got bigger.

Wow, dude. This is a great find. I love how the characters are expressed, like it was a series of “Class of” photos.

That image can actually be found in the DC Vault book that just came out.

That’s actually one of my favorite images in the DC Vault book. There are tons of things in the book that I’ve never seen, like a really weird cigarette lighter from the 1950’s with the Johnny DC character on it!
