The Dark Knight strikes — and then strikes again
The Dark Knight is the gift that keeps on giving for Warner Bros. and Imax.
Hollywood gossip columnist Nikki Finke reports the blockbuster already has grossed $997.5 million worldwide — $528.5 million domestically and $469 million internationally — since its North American release on July 18, and should hit $1 billion any day now.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Dark Knight helped giant-screen exhibitor Imax reduce its third-quarter loss. For good measure, the movie is being re-released in Imax venues in January.
Rumor mill: McG being floated as Wonder Woman director
If I knew how to make the words “rumor mill” flash in giant magenta type, I’d use it for this item: IESB reports a “source at WB Burbank” says McG is rumored as the possible director for Warner Bros.’ adaptation of Wonder Woman.
I don’t know how much there is to it, though, as McG’s name seems to get attached to every third movie during the early stages of development. Still, IESB’s Robert Sanchez says “a few other industry insiders” have heard the rumor, too.
McG, who’s helming Terminator Salvation, also directed both Charlie’s Angels movies and We Are Marshall.

Nice, another chance to see Dark Knight in imax! My local theater just got an imax theater installed, so hopefully they’ll get this rerelease there while I’m on winter break.

Ugh, McG? He makes such crappy movies.

So, McG and Beyonce, uh? My brain bleeds.

Does this McG even have a real name? I can’t take anyone called “McG” seriously. No more than I can take Beyonce seriously as an “actress.” I’m hoping that WB’s starting to take the DC properties more seriously than any of this, after TDK’s success.
Speaking of, great news for TDK and the Bat-franchise! Even though I’ll be getting the DVD the day it comes out, I’ll happily see it again on IMAX. Hopefully, the one IMAX screen in my town (at a museum, they rarely bring in Hollywood feature films) will finally bring it in.

Poor Diana; her sorrows never end (just like her film never actually starts).

Isn’t McG the guy who hates to fly? Yeah, great director for a character whose origins are non-American…Bye-bye beautiful Grecian-type location shoots, hello studios and green-screens!
I’m really trying to reserve my judgment until ‘Terminator Salvation’ comes out, but it’s soooo hard given the crapfests that preceded it.

Tap Freedie Prinze Jr. as Steve Rogers? Or do you mean TREVOR?
C’mon, people, the Charlie’s Angels movies were modern day classics!(cough)
Actually, all these movie rumors are crap and should be treated as such until Variety (or some other reliable source) reports that ink and paper have met and the deal is done.

McG is also the exec producer to Supernatural and despite his Charlie’s Angel fiascoes, I think he could bring the awesome to a Wonder Woman movie.

Wow… first Beyonce as WW, now McG directing?
yeah, that film is going to go far…

McG would be great. Hopefully he’d make up for the snoozefest that was Dark Knight.

Beyonce and McG… I can’t properly wrap my brain around just how bad that movie would be.
Don’t do it!

Why so serious T?
If you think Dark Knight was a snooze then you deserve the pile o filth McG is bound to serve up.
While we’re at it why don’t we cast Brittney Spears.

You think Mcg is going do great.Oh my lord no he will make it the worst movie ever made.So what if the dark knight was somewhat boring it was a much better movie. It had a much better plot and story. If wonder women is going to be made by Mcg you will see a very slutty actress going to play her and it will be so action pack that there is no story at all.
Sorry but Mcg lost it when he stop doing Korn videos.

To think about it ,Lindsey Lohen or Britney spears will be perfect for the role or his favorite slutty actress Misha barton for his wonder women.

It’s sad…but even after the success of the past two Batman movies…I still wouldn’t put it past DC/WB to ‘F’ this up.
They are sitting on a gold mine of characters to hit the big screen and they just can’t get it rolling. So sad.

The person that really needs to portray Wonder Woman is someone McG is very familiar with, Sarah Lancaster. She is a ringer for a young Lynda Carter. She plays Chuck’s sister on Chuck, a show McG executive produces.
