This looks awesome!
October 16th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
When does this arrive in print?
October 16th, 2008 at 3:10 pm
That art is cool! This is free? were’s the rest?
October 16th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Is he called Halloween Man cause he’s dressed up as Two-Face for Halloween?
It looks like garbage. At least try copyright infringing a character not everyone in the western world is familiar with.
October 16th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
There’s a link in the post. Takes you right to it. Some of the jpegs didn’t work for me, so I read the PDF. Pretty funny stuff. Reminds me a bit of Madman.
October 16th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
Awesome! Hadn’t even noticed that the PDF was up.
October 16th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
@Mike:
I’m pretty sure after the movie, or atleast due to the crappy Joel Shoemaker film(s), people are familiar with him in the western world.
October 16th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
I work with Drew and trust me the character has nothing to do with Two-Face. Halloween Man looks like that because he’s ghoul. There’s actually a long tradition of half-faced characters in fiction anyways. So no copy right laws are infringed.
October 16th, 2008 at 5:34 pm
If anything he looks more like Jonah Hex, cuz of the long hair. But I’m not even sure if that’s quite right since his look seems to heavily borrowed from vintage baseball uniforms. I think it’s enough of it’s own thing realy.
October 16th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
@mike
Bitter much?
October 16th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
Yeah, he’s not like Hex or Face. For one, he has way more fun in what he does.
Also, he lives in a retro futuristic city filled with classic monster inspired threats.

Why didn’t I see this in my shop yesterday with alternate covers? I would have bought two. Cassie needs be hotter.
October 16th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
This looks AWESOME! The art and writing are rock, something I never would have expected from a web comic. I love this guys version of Vlad!
October 16th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
Looks really cool! Can’t wait to check it out. Thx!
October 16th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Great artwork and zombies! What else could anybody possibly want in their life! Whoever is responsible for this marvelous piece of work is nothing less than a genius!!
October 17th, 2008 at 1:50 am
Well, that was a lot of fun. I love the way this guy draws Cassie & Vlad. They should have him do the regular series! The Marvel Zombies pastiche was actually funny. Halloween Man himself seems like an interesting character too. I’m going to check out the rest of the site in the morning.
October 17th, 2008 at 2:01 am
Ah, too awesome! I love me some Halloween Man.
October 17th, 2008 at 9:19 am
Halloween man is the best. If I could I would buy action figures and everything!
October 17th, 2008 at 10:19 am
I just scanned over the whole site. Some of the earlier stuff is kind of rough, but the whole vibe is one of fun. The Hack/Slash thing is the best one so far.
October 17th, 2008 at 11:00 am
As always, Halloween Man delivers the retro goods, such a creative meshing of genres. Throw in the essence of everything that’s bad which is good in B movie horror films, add Solamin, Cassie, Vlad, magic/mayhem & hit BLEND.It was a blast ta read this pairing up with Hack n Slash. IT WAS MEANT TO BE. Besides the FREE PDF (Which RAWKS!! thanks all who created this and made it available!!)I would love to see this turned into a published mini series for sure….so much gruesome fun to be had with these characters.
Oh and yeah….BeAuTiful artwork by the way! Fab linework.
October 17th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
I think this was a real nice break from all of the bloated crossovers that big two are putting out. It was just silly and not trying to be anything other than fun. I need more comics like this, considering how bleak the real world has gotten.
October 17th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
Frickin good stuff lads. Both art and story got me hooked and cannot wait to find out what happens next! Keep up the good work.
October 17th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Awesome work everyone!
It’s been a while since I read a Halloween Man story. This new one is fantastic!
Congratulations Drew and Crew!
David, the art is Super Fun!
October 17th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Well that was the most fun I’ve had all fall reading a horror comic. Shame this isn’t a print title. I’d buy it.
October 17th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
Oh and I can’t wait for part two. Does that go up on the 31st? It should!
October 17th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
I enjoyed this. A nice take on the avengers here.
Looking forward to the next bit.
Also Gotta love Man Goat.
October 17th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
Me like. Me want more.
And a tentacled monster!!!! Gotta love tentacled monsters.
October 17th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
Yeah, the giant squid monster is cool looking.
October 18th, 2008 at 4:24 am
I’ve been waiting forever for Halloweenman to go into print! I am a huge fan. The writing is amazing and artwork beautiful. I have to get my greedy little hands on this!!!
October 19th, 2008 at 7:40 am
Two of my favorite comic book concepts in one slambang story?!? It just doesn’t get any better than this kiddies. “Halloween Man” is finally getting some of the high profile he deserves and the world will tremble at the power of Drew Edwards creation! Tim’s “Hack/Slash” is so much creepy fun – I can’t wait for the Rogue film to be made.
October 19th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
All the haters need to freebase until they overdose. Halloween Man is the bomb and this crossover will break the internet in half so hard that in the future the internet will send back killer robots to stop it from ever being published.
Can’t wait for the next part!
October 19th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
Been a fan of Halloween Man for a long time and Hack is damn cool. Looks friggin’fantastic!
October 20th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
After hearing rumors (and seeing some promo art) for this for quite some time, I’m really impressed with the finished comic. It’s a fun read with a lot of thrills and some laugh-out-loud moments (how Cassie and Vlad confirm in an alternate universe being my favorite). I also loved the appearance of some super-powered flesh-eating invaders from another universe…
Great job, everyone! Can’t wait for part two!
October 20th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
When does part two come out and is it also going to be a web comic?
October 20th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
this is cool, will there be more?..ps love the artwork. xo
October 22nd, 2008 at 2:36 pm
Been at home a lot of days for a medical leave of absence and that certainly made my return happier.
Great job Drew & crew.
Best Halloween Man story ever produced!
November 17th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
That was freaking awesome!
