I remember seeing part of this scene in the trailer but it was absent in the movie. I hate when the trailer shows things that don’t make the final cut. I’m glad it’s included in the DVD.

BTW?! Where is that Captain America cameo that was promised?!?!

  2. JK Parkin Says:

That’s in a different deleted scene, where Banner travels to the arctic … although they won’t “confirm nor deny” that Cap is actually in the scene.

  3. THEEducaTOR Says:

I’d be pretty ticked if the director lied to us about that scene with Captain America.

  4. sidewinder Says:

I doubt he lied. But will they include it in the dvd? that’s what I want to know! I’m not buying it until I hear it’s got the Cap deleted scene.

Fellas, I’m Pretty sure the Director was talking about a “Reference”, not a Cameo, for Captain America. You know, like the Super Soldier Serum that they Showed and Discussed in the Film. Subtle Hints and References pointing towards things to come. Nothing more. There is no Cameo that was filmed or even Scripted.

    ***********Possible Spoiler************

I’m pretty sure that in an interview with Newsarama he said that the scene was that Banner went to the Artic in an attempt to commit suicide and while there either the camera would pan over the ice and we may see the shield or some remnants of Cap in the Ice. They were forced to cut it from the movie because many thought it was too dark and a good chunk of the film’s audience would be children.

Wrong Jorge. The following is from Comic2Film’s interview with Louis Leterrier:

C2F: The Captain America thing has come up quite a bit this week. Are you sorry that you mentioned it to G4?

    Leterrier: Yeah!

I love that. I could have said anything. I wanted to say I’m directing the “Smurf” movie.

No…it’s true! It’s true! You just have to open your eyes and you will see it.

C2F: Will we literally see a man who is Captain America?

Leterrier: You will see a man!

You’ll see it. You’ll like it.

C2F: I did not notice it in the screening I saw earlier this week.

Leterrier: The entire movie has not been released yet.

And I’m not talking about the DVD extras. I’m talking about something else, something different.

There’s a sequence that’s going to be seen on the internet some time very soon. Maybe today or tomorrow.

Go see the movie again. Maybe you’ll see it in the movie. That’s what’s fun about it. Don’t you think it’s fun? It’s an easter egg hunt. That’s what it is.

  8. Steve Ekstrom Says:

What a great cut scene–I really thought Samson stole some scenes. I can’t wait to buy this DVD.

  9. Chris McFeely Says:

“Betty has a very dark corner I’ve never found my way into.”

    Heh, heh, alllllll right!
