I can’t wait to see how this movie is going to play out. I can’t remmeber the last time a movie had this much venom spit at it by it’s core target audience. I’d love to know how John Q. Public, people that don’t know The Spirit from Shinola, are reacting to any of this.

Wow…this is bad. Although, ‘Sin City’ the movie is slowly becoming a modern classic, so people will probably eat this up too…

Nice to see the logo-tecture showing up. Not so nice to see it spouting some awkward and lame badass-isms. I won’t bother with the bullet-holed Spirit or the diva pimp Octopus images. It’s like beating a dead horse at this point. I will say whoever is in charge of the marketing on this movie needs to told to just stop.

What amazes me most about al of this movie promo material is, unlike almost ANY other property (novels, comics, TV show, stage play) that has been adapted to film, Will Eisner’s The Spirit comes with a TON of printed pieces that could be transferred to a poster or one sheet.

Just think of all of the splash pages that exist that a modern day graphics artist could have used for a base as the poster.

Why reinvent something that doesn’t need reinventing?

What Marketing braintrust came up with that?

And is it just me or is this film looking to be more like “The Octopus vs. The Spirit” rather than just “The Spirit”?
