Back in June my buddy Larry sent me a link to a story about a photographer suing Marvel and Paramount over a photo he took of Iron Man that he says was used as part of a mock newspaper front page in the film. The guy took the photos from a parking structure with a view of the set, and it was later posted on IESB.net.
Anyway, Larry sent me a screen grab from the upcoming DVD release of Iron Man, and it looks like the photo has been changed in the movie. Here’s the theater version:
And here’s the DVD version:
Thanks again, Larry!

Do you think maybe they fixed the typo on the magazine montage at the beginning of the movie? (I can’t remember exactly what it was, but I think they used “take the reigns” as opposed to the proper “take the reins.”)

Oh man, I didn’t even notice that. They should have just paid the guy. How did they find out that it was going to be changed?

Marvel making changes to the movie in hopes that history gets changed, too, so the guy can’t win any money. How Bush-like.

They should just have counter sued him for taking the picture in the first place

Exactly! I mean, he had no right to take the pic in the first place.

Sure he had the right to take the picture. He was not trespassing, and the shot he took was in plain sight to anyone looking in that direction.
