Am I the only person who thought of the poster for the 1992 Kevin Costner-Whitney Houston classic The Bodyguard when he saw the cover art for Marvel’s What If? Fallen Son: Captain America?

Yeah? Hm. Well, never mind then.

    I think this is taking it’s cue more from famous depictions of Mary holding Jesus after he is taken off the cross- although usually she’s kneeling down, not walking with him.
