Midway has slowly been releasing the list of playable characters for their upcoming Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe game, but it looks like the full list may have already been revealed. So on the DC side, we’ve got the additions of Lex Luthor and Darkseid, both of whom had been rumored. On the Mortal Kombat side, folks in Kotaku’s comments section seem to be very upset about the omission of Johnny Cage. However:
No really big surprises here, aside from maybe the glaring omission of Johnny Cage, though creator Ed Boon did mention at Comic Con that DC Comic’s Jimmy Palmiotti would be a hidden character with a rather cagey-looking character model, so don’t rule out Goro’s sack-smasher just yet.

Shazam? Shazam?!?!?!
Now, I’d love it if that meant the mage that baptized, so to speak, Billy Batson with the magic word that leads to Captain Marvel buuuut I think this is probably an exercise in the common fallacy of switching the Big Cheese’s, real and true, moniker for Shazam.
