As far as "Continuity Kings" go, Englehart and Byrne differ quite a bit. Byrne is much more willing to just get rid of anything he doesn't like in short order (Alicia dating Ben, the Vision and Scarlet Witch's children) which always bothered me because it never really felt seamless. Englehart, on the other hand, finds a way to make it ALL work (dang, even Wonder Baby), which never ceased to amaze me. There's always a way to put your imprimatur on a storyline without erasing a predecessor's work.

Rogues Revenge has also been good despite clearly being tied to Final Crisis. I trust Rucka a great deal but I too am starting to find all of the gross editorial upheavals presented in his work to be more than I really care for esp. when applied to characters I've followed through more natural progessions in Rucka's earlier transitions from 'Tec to Gotham Central.

Also the longer Rucka is gone from Wonder Woman, the more I miss his sensibilities on the title. So far Simone's work has not delivered to the high level even she has promised it would and that I expected it to. "Underwhelming" is the best descriptor so far and even the appearance of personal favorites like Stalker can't mask it.

It's been said before, but Geoff Johns is in some ways the modern Roy Thomas.

One thing about DC's current crossovers--the ones I'm reading, anyway--they seem to be story first and crossover second. As in, FC and FC:L3W are obviously more than a series of editorially mandated changes strung together on whatever excuse for a narrative you can come up with that accommodates those changes.
