Gotham’s most dangerous adorable villain

From "Batman Saves the Day"

The ever-watchful Scans Daily has images from The Dark Knight: Batman Saves the Day, a somewhat surreal children’s book adaptation of part of the movie, by Jennifer Frantz, Cameron Stewart and Dave McCaig:

Bruce Wayne’s friends throw him a birthday party. But a surprise guest shows up to spoil the fun—it’s the Joker! Can Batman get there in time to save the day?

I can’t wait for the sequel, Harvey Goes to the Hospital.

I just read this to my daughter last night. She’s a huge Batman fan (though she won’t be seeing the movies for some time, thank God for cartoons). The oddest thing about it was Batman didn’t show up until the last 1/4 of the book.

The second oddest thing was how lackluster Cameron Stewart’s usual stellar work looked. I blame that on the computer coloring, though.

    The sequel sounds awesome.

My favorite part of all of that was the first comment left on livejournal.
I’m sorry, but I think Heath Ledger wouldn’t have allowed such a book to get published if he’d still been alive.
Moron. First off, I highly doubt Heath Ledger would have cared one way or another about this book, but even if he did for some wacky reason, what exactly could he have done about it? The fact that the person looks like a furry makes me want to support government-mandated sterilization.

Don’t forget “Rachel’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Night”.

Glad you enjoyed this lovely bit of crack!
