Still on the fence! Wonder Woman smiling as she deals out justice? AWESOME. “It’s not polite to hit a lady?” NOTSOMUCH.

(How would that phrase even enter Diana’s vocabulary, growing up on Paradise Island?)

2. The Ugly American Says:

Her boob is misaligned in that picture.

Yes, I was looking.

3. Jason Says:

Cool trailer over all.

4. reflecto Says:

This is going to be amazing! Can’t wait!! :)

5. Phylemon Says:

Wait a minute! The whole, “Some heroes are made . . . this one was born” is wrong. Diana was made out of clay and is perhaps the only hero that was never born.

Okay, Geeky comic book guy comment out of the way. This looks good (not Judas Contract good, stupid DC animators). I’ll watch it.

6. Russell Burlingame Says:

I really thought that after the success of The New Frontier and the failure of Superman: Doomsday, they would steer back toward using an animation style appropriate to the character and the story, rather than just “stock DCAU style.”

7. Jason M. Bryant Says:

Russell, I wouldn’t call either Superman:Doomsday or this Wonder Woman movie “stock DCAU style”. In fact, there are many people who commented on how similar Darwyn Cooke’s style is to Bruce Timm’s.

Also, Superman: Doomsday sold $9,504,131 of DVDs and New Frontier sold $5,478,099 worth.

8. Rock Roche Says:

I don’t think this could get any better than the trailer. The damn wolf guy made me piss my pants. There seems to be alot of action, which is appropriate for Wonder Woman, because she is after all an Amazon warrior and should be dealing out justice with those sexy fist of hers.

Is wonder girl(Donna) going to make an appearance???(I doubt it since Robin hasn’t been mentioned in any Batman DTVs)

9. Speedo Flight Says:

I don’t know.
Phylemon is right about the continuity gaffe — she WAS made, not born.

Plus, Wonder Woman speaks one line of dialogue in the trailer and she whines and ends it with a glottal fry?
Who is she, Drew Barrymore?

10. Jason M. Bryant Says:

It’s not *that* big a gaffe. “Made” refers to experience, like Batman responding to the death of his parents. “Born” means she was destined to be that way, which is referring to her being raised by warriors. It is a little odd in that her “birth” was kind of a “making”, but the spirit of the message is fine.

11. Jack Spicer Says:

Why Keri Russell? Was Susan Eisenberg busy?

12. jack-be-nimble Says:

I don’t think it’s a gaffe or mistake. I think it’s more a play on the phrase “warrior born.”

It looks pretty awesome. I’m hyped to see it.

13. JackD Says:

Hey, they gave her “Superfriends” hair!

That’s just wrong. Oh..and she was “”birthed” from the Earth… ;P

I just hope we see a mix of Perez’ origin and “Challenge of the Gods”.

14. RodimusBen Says:

You guys do realize that the slogan in the trailer was probably written by people who have nothing to do with the production of the actual film, right? Trailers are usually put together by separate entities. Anyway, to quibble over little things like that, or a throw-away one-liner, is just crazy compared to how good this thing looks. WW finally getting the treatment she deserves. I cannot wait.

15. wws1fan Says:

They wanted fresh blood for the movie. I think this is going to be great!! It’s nice to see Diana show her amazon fighting skills. Everyone is always so “walking on eggshells” about her powers and forms of combat. She’s going to really kick some butt!

I don’t see a problem with her being “born”. She was brought to life like everyone else, her birth was just a little unconventional, that’s all. They mean that it wasn’t like Batman who became a hero. She was BORN a hero. Hell, she was raised by a tribe of amazon’s! What was she going to be, a nun?

16. johnny zito Says:

There was the proper amount of sword for a Wonder Woman trailer.

Win.

17. Mr. Allison Blaire Says:

The hair looks nothing like Superfriends, where she had that permanent Patty Duke style look. I really like her look. One of the best animated Wonder Woman designs in my opinion.

Must be the first time I’ve seen one of these posted and no one is rambling about comparing it to Marvel stuff.
Thats a breath of fresh air.

18. jimmy palmiotti Says:

looks cool. will buy it in a heartbeat.

Indeed. Cooke worked on the opening credits for “Batman Beyond” and I think did a couple character designs.
Why Keri Russell? Was Susan Eisenberg busy?
The same reason none of the DCAU regulars were used with the exception of “Gotham Knight”. This is not the DCAU. Thes are adaptations or original stories from DC and WB. The only reason Kevin Conroy was used had to do with a) they couldn’t get Christan Bale since he was filming another movie at the time, b) fans wanted to hear Conroy again and wouldn’t shut up about it and c) because Timm wanted to work with him again. That is why none of the cast from the cartoons produced from 1992 through 2006 were used at all. And those who were, weren’t playing the same parts.

20. Michael Says:

My only quibble is one that I have long had with western animation; they just don’t seem to have the same grasp of stylized detail that their Japanese counterparts do. it might be a budget or time thing, with western animation not being given a large enough stockpile of either to really delve into the details, but by and large western animation looks blank and bland in comparison. Wonder Womans body has no sense of weight and her clothing has no surface detail or texture. She is just a painted, naked body that we are to accept is wearing clothing. It was one thing to accept these issue when the shows were being produced for weekly television, but the DTV’s offer little excuses in that area. Compare the Deadshot sequence in Gotham Knight to anything in this trailer and you’ll see what I mean.

22. BTX Says:

Looks awesome… But I wish WW spoke with an accent… I mean she’s not American and she shouldn’t have a heavy, greek immigrant accent, but I think she shouldn’t so valley girl.”It’s not polite to hit a lady” sounded like that.

BTX

23. Slade Wilson Says:

JUDAS CONTRACT! JUDAS CONTRACT! JUDAS CONTRACT!

Teen Titans: Judas Contract….
Please put it back on schedule.

It will grow tiresome if they have every DTV now forced to be one of the Trinity.

With that out of the way, this looks pretty good. :)
