J. Kevin, looks like that's the one -- "Find The Batcave And Rule The Underworld!" from Batman Family #15 (December 1977-January 1978). I had thought it was a Robin vs. Cavalier story, and sure enough, it's the Cavalier disguised as Killer Moth who finds the giant nest inside the hollow tree. Boy, the Cavalier was a moron.

Something you could add to the Arkham annotation is that Denny O’Neill named Arkham Hospital/Asylum after the fictional town of Arkham made famous in several stories by the horror writer H. P. Lovecraft. I think the story O’Neill got it from is “The Thing on the Doorstep.”

I have to agree with Ken B. on how spectacular Nightwing look in this issue.

The one thing that I really didn’t like about this latest was how Bullock yelled that the Joker’s laugh was stolen. Seems to me that a guy like Bullock would think it’s funny, not shocking. Wonder if that’s how it was written in the script or if it was the letterer’s decision.

I really enjoyed the whole issue, it’s just that that little thing threw me off at the end.

Nightwing drawn by McDaniel is just so, so awesome. I was giddy over it. And the flirting with Babs was classic Dixon/McDaniel Nightwing. Fabian did a good job on that.

Both parts of the issue were very well told, and this issue was the strongest yet. The last page reveals on both parts were nicely set up.

But really, McDaniel drawing Nightwing again, with added Bab-bage was just awesome.
