Congrats!
And well timed regarding the relaunch!

An Eisner for what?

To bad their plain old comics coverage was better pre-relaunch. Now there coverage is broader, but comic coverage has lost out.

Jane Weidlin? From The Go-Go’s? That’s hilarious!

It’s really due to the witty repartee by blog responders such as, and including, myself.

Given the positioning of the award between drinks in this photo, I wonder how many Coronas it took before someone accidentally tried to drink the Eisner.

Congratulations! It is a well deserved honor.

All the awards in the world will never make up for having the lack of taste to actually drink a whole bottle of Corona. How dare you, Newsarama.

Nice one, Matt. Hats off!

Anyone know which specific article or articles Newsarama published during the time frame of the 2008 Eisner that earned them the award? Most journalism awards are for specific articles.

The Eisner Awards call for entries doesn’t list specific criteria, other than dates of eligibility, and asks that entries for webcomics and journalism websites simply submit URLs.
