MoviesOnline has the Comic-Con teaser poster for Robert Rodriguez’s Red Sonja. Announced last month, the movie stars Rodriguez’s financee Rose McGowan.
Although initial reports had Red Sonja set for a 2010 release, the poster clearly says 2009.

Wow… that’s just horrible. Is there a way to stop this movie from being made, or at least have it taken out of Rodriguez’s hands? Sonja deserves better than this crap…

Wowzers, I have no idea what the naysayers here are complaining about, because I think these look great!
That people want the movie stopped and are completely ready to declare it’s awfulness without seeing a frame of film (or whatever they use these days when they shoot digital) blows my mind.
Anyway, just my two cents, but I think they look neat.

Rodriguez is a fine director and there’s the potential for a really good movie here.
But why oh why does everything have to look like SIN CITY and 300? Did someone eliminate the color blue from the world when I wasn’t looking?

It’s astounding how people who probably never even heard of “Red Sonja” up until now have already decided to condemn a film not yet in production all because they don’t like the looks of two posters that are both rough drafts at best! I could give a shit what you think about Rodriguez or McGowan but now this is just bashing for the sake of it and believe it or not it’s really getting old. So do yourselves a favor and SHUT THE FUCK UP!
